Re: Selling/auctioning off collections



Don't have any suggestions for the sellers/auctioneers, but I will just
raise the issue of making sure the donor and/or family are aware of your
plans and that your donation agreement allows for your plan.  They may be
unpleasantly surprised by your plan to make money off their donation, which
they may have assumed (rightly or wrongly) were going to be part of the
"permanent collection of the Dodd collection for generations to look at and
treasure yadda yadda yadda."

Apologies if you've thought of it, but you may need to make sure you're p's
& q's are dotted & crossed.  Or i's & t's.
