Micah R. Brown (1844-1880)

We recently received an inquiry from a researcher who is looking for papers
of Micah R. Brown (1844-1880). Brown served as an engineer in the U.S. Army
during the late 1800s, and helped construct several forts in Kansas in 1867.
Brown was born in Boston and was buried in Lawrence, Massachusetts. We don't
have any Brown family papers in our collections--is there anybody in the
eastern part of Mass. who has any such papers (or knows if they even exist)?

Thanks very much for your assistance.

Sincerely,
