Re: presto record cutting machine



I cover this kind of record on my site, www.soundsaver.com

Please, please, do not play these records back on this machine.  The
tracking weight of the original tone arm can easily tear up the grooves,
reducing high frequencies and breaking down groove walls.  If the content is
important to you, there are much gentler devices in studios (mine included)
that specialize in transfering these.

Well recorded lacquer discs can sound terrific! Get back as much as
possible.
