Re: Archival catacombs and dead records



Please do not drop the Archivist without a Deed of Gift form or other
suitable legal instrument transferring physical, legal, and intellectual
custody of the Archivist (and whatever other elements are appropriate) from
the donor (the source releasing the Archivist) to the receiving institution.

The Archivist being dropped will not make a noise; however, an unsolicited
donation, transferred with incaution, is another matter...
