Piling up filing cabinets

Another good reason for not stacking filing cabinets is that if you live in
earthquake country [as we do] all those cabinets, complete with heavy
contents, could fall over during a 'quake. Not only is this dangerous to
people working with the records but cleaning up is likely to need heavy
lifting equipment. Over here, even the [unstacked] 2 or 4 drawer cabinets
require bolting to the walls - as do all forms of shelving, at home as well
as in workplaces.

My recommendation would be not to stack.
