Commercial appraisals

We have been contacted by a commercial appraiser representing "a full
service estate firm offering real estate sales, personal property
appraisals, and liquidation of personal property by estate sales and
Internet auctions." She has requested the assistance of archival staff and
the use of our facilities to identify a significant historical figure within
a film belonging to her client. The facilities she requires are also
available commercially within our area. There is no promise of our
acquiring the materials by donation, as the client has contracted her
services for the purpose of assigning a value to the film for sale at
auction by this estate firm.

Have other archivists worked with commercial appraisers in this capacity?
I'd like to hear from anyone who has developed a mutually beneficial
relationship with an appraiser, particularly an appraiser working within a
firm which both appraises and sells historical materials.
