Re: Friday Funny

Is there a charge for being placed on this list? I've noticed that several
states are doing this "for a fee," and now my phone company is offering it
for a monthly charge (just like call waiting, etc.).

Of course, I no longer get more than a couple of those calls a month,
anyway. I got rid of 'em the old-fashioned way, by insisting on being taken
off each individual list (and being persistent about it - hanging up doesn't
work, they just keep trying and trying and trying if you do that).

The charities you can't get rid of, BTW. They are not legally obligated to
remove you from their call lists, no matter how you go about requesting it.
And their too often obnoxious professional fundraisers are the reason I keep
getting those few calls each month.
