Position Opening



Hanover College seeks an Archives/Government Documents librarian to provide
leadership for archives/special collections in our newly renovated Joseph
Wood Evans Memorial Special Collections and Archives Center, in addition to
government documents oversight.  Reporting to the Library Director, will
work collaboratively to also provide library instruction and reference
assistance (evening and weekend rotation required).   Essential functions
consist of responsibility for archives and government documents
acquisitions, processes, and collections including planning, policies,
statistics, and supervision. Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS (or
equivalent) with previous archives experience, preferably in an academic
library.  Experience in Gov Docs, reference, and instruction is desirable.

Founded in 1827 on a bluff overlooking the Ohio River, Hanover College is a
residential, coeducational liberal arts college affiliated with the
Presbyterian Church.  Duggan Library has 5 librarians and 7 staff who work
jointly to design and implement user-focused services and programs.
