Re: music copyright
Not sure this helps, but here you go.....
Musak is a service, like cable TV. You pay for the Musak service
(experience, one might say). You do not pay royalties on each song. Musak
pays the copyright holder to use the music.
I went through this some years ago...
In regard to museum exhibits, you should ask for permission to play the
music. ASCAP and BMI may make you pay, plead with them that you are a poor,
poor museum and $2000 is a bit steep for a poor, poor museum.
You can use the 10% rule for educational institutions and play clips from
the music free of charge.

It probably would, but your lawyers could advise you on this.
