Re: Wierd Message Again/Vacation

Hello Everyone,
Yes, as a respondent noted, the "patch" message
that was sent over my name resulted from a virus.
Unfortunately, the way this bug works, I have no
control over this, as my address was taken from
the address book of an infected computer, without
either my own or the computer operator's knowlege.
Fortunately, the infected attachments are being
removed before the postings reach the listserve.
All I can do for the moment is to advise everyone
to delete any suspicious postings, whether they
come from my address or someone else's and to run
the latest version of a virus-checker program. I
wish I could do more to prevent this stuff
reaching the listserve, but I appear to be
helpless, at least for the moment.

Also, I will be out of the office this week, but I
will be monitoring the listserve from home. It
just may take me a bit longer to get back to
someone with a problem.

Thanks,
Bob Schmidt
