- archivists NEVER get involved in "project

management, budgeting, strategic planning, marketing, RFP reviews,
presentation, research, and much more." As you also point out, archivists
do enjoy the safe, secure, no danger, no stress environment of having
total responsibility for the organization's most valued and essential records.

As you say you are the head of the dog and we are tail - and the
tail wags the dog ...

Well yeah but at least the head gets to eat.... 8-)

( For those new to the list - Peter and I have this debate periodically
and remain friends. This is for educational purposes only and no punches
will be thrown. If it came to that who would post all of those archives
related articles? )

True! Steve is a most worthy adversary. I don't expect for him to join the Bright Side, but at least he listens.

If anyone is interested I do know of a company in the DC area that is looking for a RM-type to be a project manager on an RM project. If interested email me privately and I will send the contact information. AND I suspect it pays more the $22K

As for news articles --- there are some really fascinating ones coming up this weekend.
