Oh! An easy one! Chives & peppermint can be propagated by division.
Chives also propagate easily by seed. In fact, chives will tend to
sprout up in nearby containers with no help at all. Mints can become
invasive weeds flower/vegetable gardens if the climate favors the variety
of mint you have. Oregano and thyme also propagate easily by division.
Basil propagates from seed.
Common herbs generally propagate easily (I suppose that's why they are
common!). If you try whatever method looks most applicable, it will
probably work!
