Re: NY TIMES SLAMS ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE ON FRONT PAGE

The odd thing is that these articles *were* on the NYT web site, but were
removed. I read them there and printed them out. When I went back later,
they were gone (even though older articles were still up on the site). I
asked about this in a posting to their subscriber forum, and here's the
response I got from Bernard Gwertzman, Senior Editor, 6/22/96

:We as a rule do not archive articles. And until we have our archive
:service working, there is no way for you to get those two back articles
:from the web page site. we will soon have an archive service. Also, on
:america online on the times site, i believe at least one of those
:articles is archived.

I posted another note requesting that they reload the articles to the
Web site, since there's a lot of interest in reading them. If there are
other non-AOL subscribers out there who'd like to read the articles,
please contact the NYT subscriber's forum to express that thought. I
think you can get there by pointing your browser to
http://www3.nytimes.com/comment/thread.cgi/message/28?user=&email=&depth=3&detail=description&lastread=3
Thanks.
