FYI, if you find a stunned bird, it's best to put it in a dark box lined
with a soft cloth; make sure there are air holes, or cover the open box with
a single layer of dark towel.

Leave it QUIET and warm for a half hour.  Take it safely outside and remove
the cover smoothly and quickly.  If the bird takes off, and can't be caught
again, it was ready to go.

Handling the bird stresses it terribly.  It doesn't know that you're not a
predator, despite any good intentions.
