Folks,
At about 6:00 PM this date Ron Selvey called me to say that the was
a Black-crowned Night-heron at Lake Osceola. Marilyn Westphal and I both
got excellent views as well as video tape from a very cooperative bird. The
lake is being drawn down, and the bird was sitting on the mudflats. While
night-herons are unusual here in the mountians, Black-Crowned are a much
harder bird to see then Yellow-crowned.
Happy Easter!
