western Horry Cty., 4-20

Hi y'all,
Jack Peachey came by this morning and dragged me off to Punchpole
Landing on the Little Pee Dee River for a cpl of hours this a.m. Lotsa
birds, esp. Summer Tanager, Black-and-white Warbler and a plethora of
vireos; White-eyed, Red-eyed, Yellow-throated and a cpl of suspected
Blue-headed. Cool bird(s) of the day: a Swainson's Warbler that sang from
about 30 ft. away just as I finished remarking to Jack, "It'd be nice to get
a Swainson's Warbler today" and eventually was coaxed into view. The other
was a true Solitary Sandpiper near the boat landing.
    Odyssey update: 204.

Cheers,
Gary
