ST Update

This AM I watched the Scissor-tailed family (Monroe, NC). The young
have tails nearly as long as the female ST. They can still be
identified as youngsters by the fresh look to their feathers. They also
have more white in their wings than the adults do. The light was really
great and they were close enough for me to see all those details. The
young are really getting strong and are able to catch insects on their
own.
Most of the time we see the STs in the evening when the insects are
out in force. The rest of the day they are usually not in sight.
