Phalarope question

No, unfortunately I have not found on in NC recently. I have a pair of
pictures of a phalarope I took in McAllen, TX in April. I assumed the bird
was Wilson's. Would anyone care to take look and let me know what you
think? The back is more mottled than I am used to seeing in basic plumaged
Wilson's Phalarope. Red-necked is listed as rare while Wilson's is common
for the season/place. The pics are at
www.tropicbird.homestead.com/phalarope.html

Pretty slow otherwise around these parts. The hummers are keeping us busy
filling the feeders and we have a bald grackle that looks for all the world
like a miniature vulture, but otherwise I am sitting back and anticipating
fall migration!
