Cape Mays

All,

Sterling Southern and I encountered two Cape May warblers among a small
mob of passerines (responding, admittedly, to my whistled screech owl
imitation and pishing) at the NC Forest Service's Training Facility in
Crossnore, NC last Friday. Others in the flock were a hooded warbler, a
couple black-and-whites, red-breasted nuthatches, a blue-headed vireo,
and others. We had a beautiful pair of black-throated blues respond to
an earlier bout of harassment the same afternoon.

Take care,
