Apologies and a Florida ?

First an apology if any of you received an automated "out of the office"
reply from my machine last week. I used a new tool to respond to business
messages and indicated that carolinabird messages should not receive a
response, but I received indication that this may not have happened as
intended. Again, apologies for any inconvenience To make amends I would
be glad to share birding tips and locations for Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and
the Purple Swamphens in Ft. Lauderdale should anyone be headed that way and
wish to do a little twitching.

If I may indulge your patience a bit longer, I have a question on the
countability of the Muscovy in Florida. Although widespread, abundant, and
breeding, the species has not been countable as an introduced exotic in
Florida. I thought I read something recently that it was now being
counted. Could anyone confirm or deny? Obviously we saw many last week
while in Fla!

Best,
Steve Shultz
