RE: mattamuskeet

Hi Jason,

I was scheduled to go to Mattamuskeet with a birding group from the Museum of Natural Sciences on Saturday the 24th. I received a call on Monday from the organizer whose contact there said the impoundments and the lakeshores are so dried up that there are either no birds or the ones that *are* there are too far away to see.

Maybe someone else will have something more positive to add though.

All you twitchers,

Headed east for a couple of days and wonder if anyone can give me an update
on what species I might find and where at Mattamuskeet. Been there many
times at this time of year, but just thought I would check anyway.

Thanks to everyone and enjoy the holiday.
