wood thrushes taking up residence at Duke

Hi Folks,

A bunch of postings are reporting wood thrushes: here's my ten cents
worth: 2 wood thrushes were singing from the wooded patch behind
Chemistry on Duke campus this morning. This area lies either side of
La Salle extension (the RX parking lot). I'm really happy that they
have returned as last year RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BREEDING
SEASON, Duke bulldozed about a third of this area to make way for a
new (you guessed it) parking lot. Also heard today bg-gnatcatchers
and a yellow-throated warbler in the trees behind my apartment, both
firsts for my apt complex.

best wishes
