Chimney Rock Park



Hi all,
Carol & I went to Chimney Rock Park this afternoon & had an enjoyable
time. The following were the warblers we saw:

Worm-eating Warbler
Black-throated Green
Black-throated Blue
Black & White
Hooded male & female
Cerulean
Yellow-rumped
American Redstart
Chestnut-sided -heard only
Swainson's  - heard only -on Woodland Trail


Other interesting birds were:

Yellow-throated Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Blue-headed Vireo-heard only
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Indigo Bunting
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Scarlet Tanagers-male & female
Wood Thrush
Hermit Thrush
Raven

We actually saw two male Rose-breasted Goosbeaks,a male Indigo Bunting &
a male Scarlet Tanager in the same small tree close together. Wow! what
beauty!
