Hi Folks,
While doing the count yesterday the group led by Patrick Coin
observed a flock of 11 willets flying from Farrington Road causeway
around past the boat ramps, heading north. This appears to be a
fairly unusual bird for the location and time of year as it is not
listed on the spring count form. At the same place, 2 blackpoll
warblers were heard and observed feeding with a flock of yellow rumps
in the pines along the water's edge. A number of other rarities were
seen by other groups, but not wanting to steal their thunder, I'll
let them report their own good fortune.
Best wishes
