Here's a note from Tom Howard, the South District State Parks I&E
Specialist/Naturalist:
"For about a week some of the staff at FOFI have been seeing a Purple
Gallinule. It is always seen in the same general area - road-shoulder
across from the main parking lot before 8 am. After 8 am, traffic on the
entrance road and in the parking lot probably pushes the bird back into
the phragmites. Has not been seen aftern 8 am."
