This morning at 6 am while sculling on Lake Wheeler
(s.of Raleigh), a gull-size bird (but faster wingbeat and
shorter tail) was coursing from NW to SE, with an incessant high-pitched
call "kli-o-wee" as long as it remained visible, however too high to see
details like color. Any ideas?
