A HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL THE LADIES!
We also have a large amount of American Goldfinches at our feeder's.
So far in Feb. we have put out over 40 pounds of thistle seed. We have 6
Thistle, 5 Black Oil Sunflower and 3 White prismo Millet feeders.Plus 4
suet hangers. The finches also love the Sweet Gum seed balls on a large Gum
tree in the back yard.Yesterday there were close to 200 Finches in the
trees and feeders.I have had 1 pair of Purple Finches and plenty of
woodpeckers, including a pair of Pileated working in the top of a tree that
Hugo broke out.I have not seen a Junco this winter at our feeders.
How about the rest of the low country, have you seen any?
