birds o' spring

Yes, I finally heard the first yellow-throated warbler
this morning of our yard here near Bynum and the Haw
River in Chatham county NC. I still have many
goldfinches in various stages of molt and loads of
siskins competing for the thistle and sunflower
hearts.
a chickadee nest built with our cat Duke's hair(i put
it in a suet cage) awaits its first egg in our new
bluebird box. The cowbirds have been around for one
week(what a lovely noise they make).The hermit
thrushes and yellow-rumps are still coming for peanut
butter and Bluebird Treat.
Here is a question-I am teaching a bird program for
the Museum out at Lake Benson Park in Garner. Does
anyone know specific positive sightings out there? My
supervisor(who is not a birder) said there were bald
eagles and Swans? On tv last night, they showed
mallards and the reporter called them geese. So who
knows.
Thanks for yalls help. Kate
