Howdy!
I was thrilled yesterday when I found 3 Carolina Wren eggs inside a basket by
the front entrance!! For weeks, we've been watching a pair of wrens fly back
and forth, bringing in so much nesting material that it's overflowing!! They
are a joy to watch. I look forward to their kids now!
Bluebirds and chickadees are fighting over a box in the back. I hope the
bluebirds win that box and the chickadees use the other box they've used for
2 years.
I guess if I want to feed birds I have to put up with the darn starlings and
cowbirds this time of year. UGH!! Claudia is right, the starlings can hang
upside down to get to the suet. Oh well.
I'm looking forward to CBC spring in the mountains!
Happy birding!!
