Re: Owl Nest?

Dear Baby Owl lovers,
Yes, indeed, it is possible and very likely from your brief description. We
had a pair of Great Horned Owlets in a very conspicuous spot this February
here in Charleston county,SC: in an Osprey nest on the causeway on the
road to the Isle of Palms. They were featured the Post and Courier. About 15
years ago Great Horneds appropriated a Red-tailed Hawk nest on Bulls Island
and raised Owlets in a easily viewed spot for several years. And Charleston's
Hampton Park was graced by another Great Horned pair that nested in an
old Fish Crow nest for several years. When the "Tiger of the Night" takes
a nest, even the Eagle backs off. Owls rule!
