We had good turn out of both birds and birders at our monthly bird
wak at the Beaver Lake Sanctuary in N. Asheville. Perfect weather
was helpful this time. We had 45 species including:
Osprey (chased away by a Great Blue Heron! - never seen that before)
GBH
Blue Winged Teal
new Flicker nest hole and attendants
N Rough-winged Swallow
Yellow Throated Warbler
Blue Headed Vireo
Field Sparrow
Brown Headed Nuthatch
Sharp-shinned Hawk
And the rest were usual and common and still a delight to see.
