White Ibis/Henderson County

    Folks,
Bob Olthoff, Marilyn Westphal, and I birded around Henderson County
and the Blue Ridge Parkway today. Around 8:30 AM this date we had 3
immature White Ibis fly over Hooper Lane. They landed in a wet ditch in the
tomato fields. They were viewable from the road, please don't enter the
tomato fields.
At Devil's Courthouse, we had brilliant scope views of the Peregrine
Falcons. Both adults were perched in the trees below the nest, and all 3
chicks could be seen very well around the nest on the cliff face. All 3
chicks appeared to be doing very well.
