Raleigh Tree Swallows, etc.

There were 3 Tree Swallows at the Raleigh Blvd. swamp this morning, one a
juvenile, so I think it's safe to conclude they nested out there somewhere.
They stayed over the far reaches of the swamp near Crabtree Creek, again
coming nowhere near the tree close to Raleigh Blvd. they were visiting in
early June. They may have been put off by the traffic noise and occasional
encouraging remarks shouted from passing cars.

Also present were the usual pair of Red-headed WPs, and a pair of Purple
Martins which I've not seen at this spot before and suspect are southbound
migrants. A single Great Egret was the only visiting wader.

Happy 4th,
