Among the numerous Ibises still bed-and-breakfasting
at Little Creek Impdmt. is one with a very pink bill,
paler head than the other imms., and very white body (though
still slight mottling). I assume this is a 2d yr.(or older?)
bird, but have never seen an Ibis in this stage in the Triangle.
Similarly, there is at least 1 slate-colored Night Heron who
appears to be transitioning between the brown immature stage and
the distinctive markings of adulthood.
