Potential for Good Flight of Migrant Landbirds this Week

As many of you know, the center of Hurricane Gordon is forecasted to come
ashore on the west coast of Florida today, and the storm/or its remnants is
predicted to continue NNE, with the center crossing the coastal plain of the
Carolinas.

Coastal birders might watch for frigatebirds Monday and Tuesday, if the
predicted storm tract materializes.

There is a good potential for a good flight of migrant landbirds along the
Carolina coast about Wednesday morning after the storm passes to the
northeast. I have seen excellent flights in similar situations in past
years.
