Re: Eagles as active predators



And, in 1991, I was sitting on the south bank of the Quinault River about
300 meters from the ocean and I saw a perfect PBS nature special.  An eagle
came up river from the sea at about 3 meters off the water, swooped down in
front of me about and grabbed a salmon.  He or she was about 10 meters away
from me when the fish was taken.
