Re: groundhogs?



Groundhogs and woodchucks are the same animal, and are protected in most
states, though they do make fair pets, and are pests in many gardens. They
are quite common here in WNC.
Saw a *large* Cooper's Hawk on the way back from Franklin today, flew in
front of the van, and saw the bands on the tail. Tail was loooong, and she
was big, at least the size of a crow. Disappeared in roadside vegetation.
Lots of Indigoes here.
