The following are highlights of the 3 hour Wednesday morning birdwalk at
Charleston County's Caw Caw Park in Ravenel, SC led by Perry Nugent at 8:30
am.
November 6, 2002
60 species were seen and/or heard. The most interesting were; 1 Green
Heron, 75 Green-winged Teal, 2 Mottled Ducks, 3 Northern Pintails, 50
Blue-winged Teal, 18 Lesser Scaup, 2 adult and 2 young Bald Eagles, 2
Northern Harriers, 1 American Kestrel, 1 Merlin, 1 Wild Turkey, 30 Dunlins,
1 Winter Wren, 1 House Wren, 200+ American Robins, 1 Eastern Meadowlark, and
1 Rusty Blackbird.
