The following are highlights of the 3 hour Wednesday birdwalk at Charleston
County's Caw Caw Park in Ravenel, SC led by Perry Nugent at 8:30 am. For

December 11, 2002.
60 species were seen and/or heard. The most interesting were; 1 adult Bald
Eagle on nest, 2 Tundra Swans, 10 Common Snipe, 1 Hummingbird sp., 3 House
Wrens, 2 Marsh Wrens, 25 Ruby-crowned Kinglets, 20 Golden-crowned Kinglets,
2 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, 4 Hermit Thrushes, 100+ American Pipits, 2
Loggerhead Shrikes, 2 White-eyed Vireos, 4 Blue-headed Vireos, and 150+
Rusty Blackbirds.
