Howdy-
At the Triple S Pier in Atlantic Beach on Monday afternoon, I spotted a
single 1st year Razorbill flying from West to East approx 100 yards from
the end of the pier. The bird landed nearby, but I could never really
get an exceptionally long look, since it seemed to spend most of its
time underwater. In half an hour, no other Alcids were spotted. I also
saw a large mixed flock of scoters (mostly blacks, but a few
white-winged and surfs) of about 200 individuals. Many Red-throated
Loons around, and a couple of Bonaparte's Gulls (no Little Gulls,
though). Cold and windy out on the pier.
