Carolinabirders:
Susan and I saw the Swainson's Hawk this morning after about two
hours of watching just beyond the site where the Ashthroated Flycatcher
was seen over a year ago. This was, of course, on Long Curve Rd. in the
Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. It hovered over us, kited
around for a few moments, and then began soaring off over the fields.
Got to hear its cry three times as well. A very good find.
