Alligator River Refuge-Friday 28 Mar '03

The Swainson's Hawk is still easily located soaring over the huge fields
of the Refuge. Today, it was soaring on stiff SE winds at varying
altitudes in the vicinity of the landfill, accessed from Long Curve Rd.,
where the Ash-throated Flycatcher was found.

A Merlin was perched, roadside, nearby.

Jeff Lewis and I waited in vain this evening for the Blackchinned
Hummingbird to reappear at his feeder.
