The following are highlights of the 3 hour Saturday morning birdwalk at
Charleston County's Caw Caw Park on highway south in Ravenel, SC led by
Perry Nugent at 8:30 am. A small fee is charged. For more information type

61 species were seen and/or heard on a very nice day. The most interesting
were; 33 Anhingas migrating north high over head, 1 Green Heron, 1
Black-crowned Night Heron, 2 Swallow-tailed Kites, 2 Ospreys on nest, 2
adult and 2 baby Bald Eagles babies are on the nest, 1 Great Horned Owl baby
on nest, 1 Barred Owl, 1 Hairy Woodpecker, 1 Acadian Flycatcher, 1
White-breasted Nuthatch, 25 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers many nests, 10 White-eyed
Vireos 1 nest, 1 Blue-headed Vireo, 20 Red-eyed Vireos, 40 Parula Warblers,
40 Yellow-rumped Warblers, 6 Yellow-throated Warblers, 4 Pine Warblers, 4
Prothonotary Warblers, 5 Common Yellowthroats, and 15 Savannah Sparrows.
