Re: Scopes

The new Swarovski ATS 80 has a mounting foot built into the scope body so
there is no need to use the screw on bogen mount. The built in foot is
designed to fit the bogen quick disconnect head - so you use the same head
and just toss the screw on mounting plate into your gadget bag. To you
point, and as Randy pointed out, there is not much discernable difference
once you get to a certain level - except maybe in side to side comparison.
If Jim would like a further opinion of someone who has performed many side
by side comparisons, go to www.betterviewdesired.com and read the opinions
there. Steve Ingraham lists the Pentax 80 mm as the reference standard and
prefers the 65 mm scopes to the 80 mm.
