Hi C'birders,
Yesterday Paul Rogers and I went to Huntington Beach S.P. to do some
shorebirding and to look for butterflies.
A total of 28 species were found. The highlights were the good numbers
of waders found along the edge of Mullet Pond. Some examples are:
Little Blue Heron 12, White Ibis 40+, Glossy Ibis 50+ Wood Stork at
least a dozen.
Other good sightings were about 17 Mallards, 2 Black-necked Stilts, 2
Great Yellowlegs, 10 Lesser Yellowlegs, 6 Least Sandpiper, and 3 Painted
Bunting,
Full details will be posted on http://www.ebird.org/content/
