Hilton Pond 08/01/03 (Red-shouldered Hawk)

Although we were away from Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History for much of the week, we still managed to band a few hummingbirds--and a Red-shouldered Hawk that hit the nets one morning.

For a photo essay about this raptorial species, please visit "This Week at Hilton Pond" for the period 1-7 August 2003 by clicking on http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek030801.html

As always there's a list of all the birds banded during the week.

On 9 August we'll be in Fredericksburg VA for our second "Hummingbird Mornings" banding demonstrations of the year. Details at http://www.hiltonpond.org/HummingbirdMornings03Main.html
