hi y'all,
yesterday eve, the neighborhood jays were most distressed at the presence of
something in a nearby pine. their harassment eventually evicted the object
of their concern, a Broad-winged Hawk, who headed out bearing due south.
cool bird for here.
Ruby-throated hummers here continue to terrorize the wrens, titmouses and
chickadees as well as one other. i hope to hear the distinctive 'tic' of a
Selasphorus most any day now .
BTW, a femme Magnificent Hummingbird is reported to be visiting a feeder
near Athens, GA.
are we having fun yet?
;-)
