Hilton Pond 08/29/03 (Asiatic Dayflower)

Here at Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History, we sometimes tolerate exotic plants because they are pleasing to the eye and aren't quite so invasive. That's the case with Asiatic Dayflower, the subject of a "short week" edition of "This Week at Hilton Pond."

To view some unusual photos of this bright blue blossom from the Orient, visit the installment for 28-31 August at http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek030829.html

There are also some notes about a brief influx of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, plus a link to a posting about the Rufous Hummingbird we banded on 30 August at Indian Land SC.

Happy Nature Watching!
