I've been seeing juv. cardinals around my yard regularly. It's been fun
watching them improve their flying skills -- takeoff is fine, but the
landings need a little work!
I had a nice "up close & personal" encounter this afternoon: just as I was
muttering at the Yellow-rumped Warbler who was dropping dogwood berries on
the deck I've been power-washing for the last 2 days, a White-breasted
Nuthatch landed on the suet feeder about 3 feet from my head.
