Black Vulture Diet

Monograph No. 411, Birds of North America, authored by Neil Buckley
states that Black Vultures are opportunistic feeders, subsisting almost
entirely on carrion. There are several references to publications by P.P.
Rabenold and P.W. Parmalee which address the importance of farm animals
in the diet of this species. Rabenold has considerable data on diet from
North Carolina.
